About Us
Wellspring Senior Foundation (Wellspring) was established in 1994 and evolved from the ministry of the West Alameda Community Baptist Church. The church responded to a community-wide survey, which indicated that the foremost need was access to safe, decent, affordable, independent housing for very low- to moderate-income seniors. In 1980, the church, working in close collaboration with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, opened Eaton Terrace Residences as one of the first congregate (i.e. housing with meals, pastoral care, and scheduled transportation included) facilities for seniors in metropolitan Denver. Eaton Terrace II Assisted Living Center opened in 1988 to serve lower-income seniors.

Eaton Senior Programs was established in 1998 as the nonprofit operating company that provides management and support for all facilities and supports the staff of Wellspring.

In establishing the first building in 1980, West Alameda Community Baptist Church used all of its resources, including proceeds from the sale of its property and church building. As a result, there was a serious decline in church membership, as well as a decline in its ongoing financial support to the facilities. In 1994, church members (who currently meet in the centrum of Eaton Terrace Residences) and facility representatives created Wellspring Senior Foundation, whose goals are to help the facilities continue to offer a menu of services that sustain a high quality of life for residents, and to maintain the spiritual component that speaks to each resident’s needs.

Wellspring Senior Foundation is located on the fourth floor of Eaton Terrace Residences at 333 South Eaton Street, Lakewood, Colorado, 80226. The Wellspring office is open Mondays through Fridays, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
