EATON TERRACE CHOSEN TO PARTICIPATE IN “COLLAGE”
Eaton Terrace Residences and Eaton Terrace II are two of twenty affordable housing sites in the U. S. that were chosen to participate in a demonstration laboratory using COLLAGE – a web-based resident assessment tool to advance healthy aging for residents and improve community outcomes.
This software will assist in evaluating resident’s health and wellness in areas such as memory loss, nutrition, balance, mental well-being and social connectedness. The collected and analyzed assessment data provide a framework for applying evidence-based interventions to improve:
• the ability of older adults to remain independent;
• the overall quality, consistency, and continuity of health and wellness services;
• the effectiveness of programs and services; and,
• the organizations’ ability to plan for the changing needs of older adults.
COLLAGE is used by a consortium network consisting of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), congregate senior housing sites (both market rate and subsidized), and senior service agencies. Members of the network will be able to compare and benchmark resident assessment data with their peers.
WEATHERIZATION GRANT IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETED AT EATON TERRACE
Thanks in large part to a grant from the U. S. Department of Energy through the Governor’s Energy Office and administered by Energy Outreach Colorado, Eaton Terrace communities have four new boilers, upgraded fluorescent lighting, new LED Exit signs, and 103 new apartment refrigerators. In addition, Denver Water and Mile High Youth Corps supplied and installed new water-saving toilets and high efficiency faucet aerators in the apartments in both buildings. |
