|
Wellspring Senior Foundation supports the following programs that are offered at Eaton Senior Programs’ residences.
Health & Wellness Program includes daily medication monitoring, exercise classes (five times per week), weekly health and wellness clinics, monthly foot-care clinics, daily on-site physical, occupational and speech therapy through Legacy Healthcare Partners and weekly lab services are provided by American Healthcare Laboratory. Yearly flu shots and breast cancer screenings are offered to all residents. Wellness educational events and music therapy are offered throughout the year. Social Services and Care Consultation coordinate hospital and rehabilitation center admissions and discharges, respond to resident emergencies, review cases with staff professionals, assist family members in mediation conferences, and help residents problem-solve personal issues through drop-in and scheduled visits.
Pastoral Advocate/Ministry Program gives encouragement, respect and nurturing for the meaningful faith that has sustained residents and staff throughout their lives. This multi-dimensional spiritual ministry provides residents access to ecumenical weekly worship services, grief and loss counseling, hospital visitation, memorial and funeral services, prayer groups and individual support.
Meal Program provides three meals and snacks every day to all assisted living residents in the dining room at Eaton Terrace II Assisted Living Center. Three meals a day are served Monday through Friday and one meal is served on Sunday in the Eaton Terrace Residences dining room. Packaged meals and grocery items are available each Saturday noon. In special circumstances, meals are delivered to residents’ apartments in each facility.
Activities Program includes transportation to cultural events, restaurants, plays, special events, grocery stores and malls. Other activities include monthly educational presentations, “mind jogger” classes to stimulate mental activity, social events, holiday parties, ice cream socials, and special occasion celebrations.
Volunteer Services and Community Programs engage individuals from within and outside the residences. Volunteers from the community are recruited to assist with building and grounds care and to provide some personal services for residents. The resident volunteers provide community service for various metropolitan Denver nonprofit agencies.
Wellspring also raises money for capital improvements and equipment purchases for each facility.
